The Association has hundreds of members who provide quality care services for every area of adult Care. Each Provider is different and the care delivered will depend on the requirements of the residents or service users. Members provide care for Older people, Learning Disabilities, Elderly Mentally Ill, Physical Disabilities, Dementia, Mental Health, Nursing, Supported Living and Home Care. The Association is a non-profit organisation, set up for the benefit of its members and their residents and service users.

The Association influence national policy

Debbie Le Quesne went to London to meet with other Associations as part of the Care Association Alliance as a way of influencing Policy at a National Level. Past meetings have included Alistair Burt, the former Social Care Minister, but this time it was to talk to Andrea Sutcliffe who is head of CQC.

What did Members say about the impact of Minimum Wage?

A Survey carried out by WMCA showed the plight of Care Homes with 50% considering selling or closing. However it also showed the impact it would have on Residents and staff if they had to close. It emphasised the impact it would have on families who would have to cover the Local Authority shortfall.
